Neighbours is well done in the sense of organization and dialogue. Its pace and content, though, Monsieur Grondo, leave the Monkey impatient and...impatient. I agree with him.
Neighbours introduces a reader to a number of characters over the course of a relatively short piece. Perhaps too many? Maybe. If the overall intent is to demonstrate the cohesiveness of neighbours despite obvious and marked differences in personalities, skill sets, and abilities, I think it succeeds on some level.
Unfortunately, such an exploration on its own doesn't quite provide enough depth to keep our interest.
